My name is Matt Ulfelder. I own and operate the website you are traversing currently. I was born, raised, and currently reside in Orange County, California. I've had an interest in photography as far back as I can remember; I wasn't caught dead without a disposable camera in hand. When I was in middle school I got my hands on an old Konica 35mm SLR camera and shot my first roll of film. After some time between bouncing around hobbies and various sports I rediscovered photography while taking screenshots of the video game Forza Motorsport which taught me a lot about composition and camera effects. Soon after, I bought my first digital SLR and things took off from there.
I spent a lot of time learning photography techniques photographing local punk/hardcore concerts. From this I've come to know that I enjoy capturing anything & everything motion. Through connections I met the web editor for a local magazine which gave me media access to events all over Orange County. From that I've concentrated my work on live music and motorsports.
As a visual reporter it is my goal to tell a story through my photographs. The cliché states that a picture is worth a thousand words and I feel it is my job to surpass that.
